January showers bring May flowers... wait what?

Well hello there! It has been a ridiculously long time since I have posted anything! Life has gotten a little simpler as of late and I am excited to jump back into blogging. I've also been thinking, so what if my posts consist of nothing but pictures? Its a lot better than no posts at all!

Rather than attempting to catch you all up on what we have been up to, I'm going for a more quick, "busy mom" kind of style and starting at the present. Well, ok, that would require hooking up the camera and downloading my actual current pictures and if I go that route, this is NEVER going to happen, so I hope you'll settle for photos a few weeks old. ;)

The bow was completely his idea, I swear. At least it's blue.

Dustin was climbing the tree in the back yard and we thought it would be fun to put the baby swing up. Oliver of course wept at the thought of trying it out first, so Myla, our dare devil, stepped up to the plate. Needless to say, since you can see for yourselves, she LOVED it and wanted to go higher and higher! We got Oliver in it later, but he could barely contain his enthusiasm to get out.
He and Dustin moved onto other shenanigans...

Don't look now Debbie. I promise the car you let us borrow was not hurt during this high flying stunt.

Oliver manning the ropes.

"Why is the car up in our tree?"

"Stop, pay the toll so I can go buy some new shoes." Myla has a deep love for her shoes, no matter what the season. Thanks Chloe!

Oliver is thinking of going pro with his mad trike skills. He just might wear the girly flip-flops too.

Absent in Action

So I do realize it has been at least a month since I have posted anything. I have been experiencing some technical difficulties with blogger, none of which has been fixed, so I recently figured out a random way to get to my blog and post.

Anyway, this summer has been wonderfully busy with family and friends. We have been enjoying numerous play dates to the zoo, park, pool, and the list goes on. Oliver LOVES being outside and it's a good thing because he has so much energy to burn! Something cute that he has just started doing recently is singing! It is adorable to hear him walking around the house singing Ring Around the Rosie.:)

Myla has gone from pulling-up to walking (while she is holding something). It is just a mater of time before she is standing without help and walking. Goodness gracious, it is true what they say about children growing up so fast! It feels like she was just a little seven pound baby not that long ago. And now she is 23!

We have been to Manhattan a lot this summer and to Russell twice now. We are really enjoying all this special time with our families. I have to say that I am just bubbling up with happiness when Oliver talks sweetly about his Grandma and Grandpa and Nana and Papa. He gets so excited when we tell him we are going to either of their houses for a visit. I love that he is going to have such a close relationship with his grandparents as that is something that I didn't really have growing up.

We are off to Manhattan again this weekend for literally the fifth time since the beginning of May. My friend Ramey is getting married and I am really looking forward to seeing her and all my old friends. She is going to be such a beautiful bride!

Here are a few pictures form the last month...
